BUSH'S WORLD CON - And we thought Ebbers was a crock as well as crook....

Dave,

Re: So you think it's OK to have God money and say God in front of the flag? Good. We agree on that.

I did not say that. What I said quite plainly was that this is a silly issue that serves as a distraction. Back to something important.....

BUSH'S WORLD CON

As Markets Collapse, Violence Looms

Bush Has No Plan!
Clueless from Wall Street to Jerusalem

G-8 Gathers in Bafflement At Bush Incompetence

Will Murdoch the Merciless Be the Next to Fall?

As the American markets teetered following the news of WorldCom's scandalous collapse, the nation and the world looked once again to George W. Bush for leadership.

And once again, Bush showed he has no plan whatsoever to deal with the mess -- not even an intelligent inkling.

He remains stuck in denial, keeping Harvey Pitt and the other securities goniff mouthpieces in charge at the SEC, keeping up the stonewalling on Enron
, proposing hastily put together peace plans for the Middle East that insult the intelligence, fray the nerves, and boggle the minds of all parties concerned, including our allies.

This is getting deathly serious folks.
Crisis impedes on all fronts -- and the Bush Administration dithers from post to post, or simply does nothing.

Americans are hurting along with everyone else.

Unemployment is up.

Major crime is up.

Bush has picked the lock on Social Security in order to give windfalls for his fat cat supporters.

The dollar in crashing on international markets.

Stocks are tumbling.

The Wall Street analysts say even worse economic times are in store.

And the Middle East is in chaos.

This isn't a matter of Democrats being gloomy. We are optimistic about this country, and what it can do with some decent leadership. After all, look at the state of the economy and our foreign relations under Clinton and Gore. By comparison: looking better everyday.

We love America. Which is why we are so alarmed at Bush's World Con -- passing himself and his "team" off as leaders when they have no plans, no intelligence, no clues about how to handle the crush of adversity at home and abroad.

How dare they call themselves patriots? How DARE they?

One good thing may come of this mess, though -- the decline and possible of Rupert "The Merciless" Murdoch's News Corp empire.

As reported from Sydney, News Corps stock prices have plummeted in the wake of the WorldCom disaster. Linked with a series of other difficulties, it looks as if the Murdoch enterprises are in for a time of austerity at best.

Which will be the first of Murdoch's pawns to feel the squeeze? The New York Post? William "Enron Grafter" Kristol and The Weekly Enron Taliban Standard? Faux? All of the above?

Even the darkest cloud has a silver lining.
