I agree. Trading on the flag is shameful. After 9/11, I felt touched by all the people in K-Mart trying to buy flags and bunting for their houses and cars. EVERYBODY was doing it, but especially touching for me were the native Tlingits and the Filipinos.

I don't think K-Mart or Costco desecrated the flag by making it available to people when they desperately needed it.
