I Think that whatever land is not now part of the state of Israel should remain in the hands of whom ever is now owner of that land. In the past there has never been a state called palestine no a people called palestinians. However in the past there was a state called Israel that existed much in the same place where it is now.

So IMO the state of Israel and it's borders should not be changed in any way to create a new state of palestine.

Should the arab people who live in this area be permitted to create a new state called Palestine. Yes I think so...Like who cares what I think.....

But what about The West bank and Gaza? Would there have to be 2 states of palestine? How did the West bank come into being? not sure of this. Use to be a part of Jordan?

And the land that is now settled by Jews, Who owns this land? If it is not state owned land does this mean it is open to settlers?

So yes I think if the arabs want a state called Palestine this should be done. But not at the expense of changing borders of the state of Israel.
