"This is exactly the sort of consulting gig that Wind River should be pursuing.
Unfortunately, the company is focusing it's limited resources on porting VxWorks to 20
processors to increase royalty income. "

Once again, an off-the-cuff statement with an important tone to it. Where does this conclusion come from? You often make these statements about WIND mis-applying its resources, emphasizing the consulting that they should be doing. Before you continue to belabor this point, please give me a run-down of WIND's potential current resource assignments and then perhaps a better potential alignment of those resources. If you have real, factual information, please share it. We all would love to read it. As it is, I am aware of a great deal of emphasis being placed on consulting at WIND. Also, in a sense, run-time revenues fall in to the consulting model, in that the project continues to directly pay for itself as time goes by. Please, if you do have facts to share, share them so that we can more easily digest and respond to your conclusions. Perhaps the reason that people's replies always seem so lowly to you has to do with the old adage GIGO, "Garbage-in-Garbage-out"
