Nice article, though the author seems to miss a (the) major benefit of 1xEV-DO, i.e. improved network capacity. If one user gets his download many times faster with 1xEV-DO, it frees the resources for many times the number of subscribers.

And here's a quote worth bookmarking. BS at its finest.
