c2, i can understand taking issue with Richebacher's spin, but unless you think he's lying, i think the statistics speak for themselves (at least w/r/t whether the US's current GDP is "understated" due to a positive balance of US-owned foreign assets vs the opposite). however, i agree with you that citation of sources would be helpful. i brought it up fwiw, and because it was posted publicly. i have seen similar stats from proprietary sources like Bridgewater Associates.
