This is one of the features that makes do GREAT. 3) If PCS confirms a market for data, the business case will demand the economies of do over dv - even if they choose to wait for dv viability. 4) dv will be profoundly more complex and expensive than do - with little or no additional performance and ZERO increase in capacity. Consistant with IJ's recent comments, it's possible that there may never be a business case for dv - especially now with GSM1x for possible GSM converts. Previously, dv would have been the choice for a renegade Euro carrier, offering GSM Map and 5mhz compatibility. Not any more. Now, I can't think of any purpose for dv. As always, it's a funny world.
