The reality is msft is stagnant because their software cannot evolve with the functional integration required to make any significant change in productivity. Msft latest xp has abandoned any attempt to remain complatible with existing hardware and can barely keep up with newly released hardware.

Functional integration has advanced beyond msft's ability to make a difference. Functional integration is a few years behind where it might have been if not for msft.
