LOL! That's pretty funny blaming Clinton's Justice Dept. for Worldcom's problems.

If the Worldcom / Sprint merger had been allowed to go through (which, by the way, I supported at the time, and opposed Justice's actions... of course, I thought WCOM was growing earnings:), than by now the former Sprint shareholders would be suing Worldcom management and the investment banks who handled the deal because the Worldcom financials are *now shown to have been a fraud*!

The shareholder classes would be suing for treble damages in what would likely be the largest class action suit of history... as well as the upcoming federal actions!

WCOM's numbers were faked so the odds are good the Sprint people would be trying to excise themselves from the mess... but even so they would be heavily damaged.

Why would you want to drag Sprint into the screwed-up mess that Worldcom/MCI/UUNet is?
