**My life span significantly exceeds 40 years, which is what my time frame for investing is. I don't know about you, but trading possibly causes anxiety and shortens life span. I feel your pain, dude.**
you don't understand. i buy cheap, not expensive b/c every other moron is doing it near the top of a bubble. i've been mostly cash since late january of 2000 b/c everything was nuts. stress? you guys who transferred your money into the naz at 4500 are stressing out, not me. that index is trashed and i'm up pretty decent (again, i took some single stock risk to do so). my 2-3% return (on mm money, i more than doubled my individual stock money - again, mostly in one stock which was high risk)) wasn't so good, but it beat the socks off the 70% crash in the naz! -lol-
i'm not stressed at all. trading to me means buy a business cheap and sell when it is expensive. that's a trade.
**As for the wash, I do not get your point. That, however, is hardly surprising, as you always make as much sense as a certain English major.**
just like i made no sense when i vociferously warned you against transferring your dough into the naz at 4500+ and how you said it was "guearanteed to outperform" and i wasn't smart (guess nothing changes, huh? -lol-). what, a dead guy? remember bragging about that and pooh poohing any possibility of what actually occurred occurring? i do and very well! -lol-
**As for the rest, the difference between you and KT is that he is smart enough not to claim victory over a 2 year underperformance. By the same token, I won't claim victory over a decade of above average performance. You probably would, either way.**
hey, justify the idiocy of transferring your dough into the naz at 4500+ near the top of the biggest bubble in history if it makes ya feel better. only a few people in the big scheme of things can claim that particular "prize."
**Now that's some noggin!**
hey, i KNOW the market is crazy - it is a constant battle we all fight. it is a struggle. however, that is all the more reason not to check one's hat at the door and make crayon based decisions at key points. i also know insanity when i see it. i guess most people didn't as that IS a prerequisite for a bubble market. |
