The reason Bush is so popular IMO is that he instills confidence in his audience. Instead of being simply a great 'politician' as Bubba was- he has qualities of great 'leadership'.

That is exactly what the populace is looking for in uncertain times. Someone to boldly take the reins and inspire confidence in his followers. He may be the best at that since Harry Truman. Although Reagan did a pretty good job at that too.

Here's a prediction for you. He will easily win re-election. No dog fight this time. Unless.... of course, the market and economy do not turn higher. Then all bets are off.
