"I don't think protecting people from crime and fraud is a "liberal" notion"

So to clear this up for me, you feel that allowing American taxpayers to put a portion of their SS payments into the private sector is a crime. Wow, that's a new one to me, although I have seen many interesting justifications for people making decisions for others. The American populace will be glad to know that a stock broker like you is protecting them.

"You must have missed my posts railing against Clinton"

I did, but I am glad that you did. He was a creep that was bad for our country. He taught Americans through his examples that lying, cheating and stealing is a-ok.

"I do see a right of equal protection, which should protect the very elderly at death's door and the newly conceived equally. Why doesn't it?"

Because liberals do not believe in this concept, and somehow they have gained too large of a foothold in American politics. They want extra rights for their constituents. If raising a child will be inconvenient to the mother, go ahead and kill the child. No big deal. And villify the people who feel that the unborn child should have the right to live while they are at it.

I must admit that I am surprised at your mix of politics. Conservatives generally give people enough credit to allow them to make their own decisions. Liberals generally feel they should make the decisions for others.
