The law to add "under God" was passed very quickly in 1954 when President Eisenhower was fearful of a war with the Soviet Union... there was talk that the pledge was too much like the Communist type pledges and he wanted to add "under God" to make it clear the pledge was not Communist type doctrine... it only took a left wing fruitcake Democrapper to remove the two words 48 years later... I'll Bet this Michael Newdow is still accepting his paycheck which has "In God We Trust" written all over it... is there any wonder why people are taking their kids out of public schools in droves in favor of private school vouchers? GZ
