Justa, it seems like we have had an unusual volatility for the last few months, the market makes a large intraday move in one direction, and then quickly reverses and goes in the oppposite direction, often without any visible cause. I wonder if this is a pattern of trade in a bear market. Are the institutions shorting the rallies, triggering a decline, and then covering their shorts, causing a rally? In this way they create churn and slow the overall descent, perhaps allowing them to make money (like Zeev) by jumping in and out, buffering the impact of the bear market on their overall large portfolio of long positions?
