their actions may have been similar, but there is a big difference. The WCOM CFO was employed by the shareholders, and the shareholders made a conscious decision to buy WCOM stock. They did not knowingly buy a fraudulent company, but they did buy the stock. The PPT on the other hand is employed by the taxpayers. The taxpayers are being screwed without ever having made a comparable decision.
