No they couldn't. They would stand out like beacons to the internal auditors who look in detail for that stuff, and would have been picked out by the external auditors for testing due to their amount and nature.

The more I hear, the more I begin to surmise that Andersen accepted Sullivan's rationale. And now is backtracking.

Either way I do not see the "fraud" either. But everyone else does, or wants to see it, so it will be seen.
