Doug,

Re: Xerox restates -

We can expect a steady "Scandal a Day" stream of these restatements for a while. The accountants who cooked the books for Xerox, GX, ENE, WCOM, TYC, etc. weren't operating in a vacuum. The entire accountancy culture has been ruined by greed. This stuff will last well past the end of summer.

Bush will give lip service to having corporations voluntarily take their hands out of the cookie jar. While in the background the hedge funds Bush Family, Inc. runs are gleefully toting up the possibilities of picking up assets on the cheap when the final capitulation round in the stock market follies finally hits home. An October surprise?
