Hi all, remember how I have been saying for awhile now that Blockbuster's contracts would be renegotiated this year? Well, I think it has already happened. I get iControl through Time Warner Cable in my neighborhood. iControl is video on demand with pause, rewind, fast forward, and suspend so you can watch it later. It only costs $3.95, which is less than Blockbuster. Anyway, I am more and more seeing the latest movies come out on iControl like Harry Potter, A Beautiful Mind, etc. So why would I ever go to Blockbuster where I frequently forget to return videos incurring late fees? Answer is that I wouldn't. So it looks like true VOD, not that pay per view crap, is here today. Bandwidth consumption is going to start to ramp up bigtime as more users get on this system. Bandwidth consumption is good for Cisco. Just wanted to let everyone know.
