Neither do I, with my God or lack of same, that is. But that's not what you said. What you said was the converse:

According to your statement the government should not support the principles of charity, mercy, and equality; because to do so would be in line with my God.

The government can support the principles of charity, mercy, and equality entirely without reference to a deity. Supporting those principles does not make any statement whatsoever about God.
