Silly response to : "where to get a better than 1.3% rate on cash." Remember those irritating ads for (the "great") Investors Business Daily newspaper, where one person said : "I made 100% on my money with Investors Business Daily" ? My scenario for just how they made 100% : They went to a place where there were lots of newspaper vending machines. They found the one that had Investors Business Daily. They put in their 4 quarters. The machine was malfunctioning. It gave them a copy of the paper without keeping their 4 quarters. Plus, the person before them was so dumb that they had left their 4 quarters in the coin return. The person removed all 8 quarters from the coin return. Thus, 100% on her money with Investors Business Daily. Jon.
