Why not _not_ have a scam artist for pres? I think it rings pretty hollow to argue the "so what, we all know they're crooks already" angle. In a way, I think that's the real tragedy - that people come to this smug realization and then go take a nap or whatever. Our form of government only works when the voters play an active and intelligent role in the process. That includes caring about who is president, who is in congress, what they are up to, etc. Even if you relax, you can be sure that they are not relaxing, but instead busily chipping away at the foundation of our freedom and prosperity.
