Interesting...the Dell Inspiron 2500 uses the Intel 815EM chipset, while my PC uses the Intel 815EP chipset. The 815EM appears to be a version of the 815E for mobile computers. The 815EP is the version of the 815E for desktop computers that also supports Tualatin processors.

Coincidence?

My next step is to see if I am also getting data corruption problems with the portable.
