I think they are trading for HALF the cash they have in the bank and no debt.

A lot of these FO companies are trading for under cash. Unlike the dot.gones, who couldn't survive because they totally ran out of cash, these companies have the cash to survive. It's just a question of when the market comes back.

From what I understand their products are top notch. It was cien's best growth area. But if their customers and potential customers are not able to spend, it does no good to have a great product.

I expected them to drastically cut their revs. They didn't have the customer base to maintain them and the few customers they do have are in horrid shape.

The problem with these companies trading for under cash.... institutions generally don't want stock under $5 and the commission on a stock under $5 is ridiculous.

I have a feeling that anyone buying it here is going to be happy in a few years, but for now it's dead money and I'm in no hurry to jump in.

Oh...... you heard it from me first..... You might think that buying a stock at $20 and selling at $50 is great money and it is, but the REAL money made back after the great crash of 1929 was buying stocks for 15 cents and selling out 10 or 20 years later at $20.

I bet that happens again... trick is to figure out WHICH ones will survive. Lots of them probably will go to zero.
