Chinu, Of course there have been, and are, extremists in all of the religions on the Earth. Christianity is still plagued by the memory of the unwarranted Crusades, and the horrible Spanish Inquisition. I feel shame for the damage they did to a religion that was founded on peace, and love of ones fellow man.

Saddam is a disgrace to Islam, and probably doesn't give a damn. He is a maniacal despot with delusions of grandeur that wants to rule his corner of the world with an iron fist. I fell sorry for the bulk of the Iraqi people.

I know that there are many Muslims that pray for peace, and world fellowship, but there are questionable passages in the Quran, and Haddith, that concern me. I was told by one Muslim proponent that there are 40 ways to interpret the meaning of the Quran. That seems a little too flexible for me. It gives too much leeway for fanatics like Osama.

I believe that President Bush is showing the heart of a statesman far beyond what many expected from him. I am proud of the efforts he is making, and look forward for many more. On the homefront, it is his administration that is bringing the thieves of huge corporations before the courts. Hopefully, such greedy people, that prey on the innocents that either invest in them, or are employed by them, will be rooted out and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

I must admit, that Osama did cause the American people, once again, to band together against tyranny, and cause the world to take another look at the perils of fanatic terrorists.

I briefly looked at your thread, and liked what I saw. When I have a little more time, I will gladly join you.
