What we're heavy into is convincing people that might consider killing us or our fellow citizens that's it's a really bad idea.

I think that killing our fellow citizens is a really bad idea. I think even one punch to the jaw of a fellow citizen is a really bad idea. Right now I'm watching a TV spot with the message that "violence is never the answer." Works for me.

If we're going to use punishment as a deterrent, then I think we need to get serious about it. We don't hurt criminals anywhere near enough to serve as an effective deterrent. You're kidding yourself if you think otherwise.

I think the courts are excessively concerned with the rights of criminals. The whole thing is out of whack.
