XY Zebra......Congratulation to Brasil!

I was happy to see a well played match from
both sides and feel that Marcos actually won the
game for Brasil.

Although it might not be recognized by all on this thread,
the German team deserves much credit for their accomplishments
this World Cup.

Since following World Cup Soccer in 1966 I have been fortunate
to see my home team in so many WC games. 6 of 10 Finals.

66 - 2nd
70 - 3rd (and what a treat vs Italy and vs England)
74 - 1st
78 - Quarter
82 - 2nd
86 - 2nd
90 - 1st
94 - Quarter
98 - Quarter
02 - 2nd

What an empty feeling it is to switch loyalties through the
World Cup when your team is eliminated, although still enjoying soccer.
...and then it must be even emptier for those "fans" whose teams don't even
qualify to root negatively against certain teams. How can they feel the same passion
when their home team isn't even playing?

So...the true fans of Brasil, Germany, Italy, and Argentina, should count themselves
as extremely fortunate in the last 10 WC's for their national team's performances.

Congratulations Brasil!

BTW...Pilsner Urquell has always been my favorite beer!
