Noel de Leon, If you are speaking of the court decision to ban the use of the words "under God" from the Pledge of Allegiance, then I have read it, and disagree with it. No one is forced to recite the Pledge, and no one is forced to listen to it. Ergo, there is no reason for complaint by any group.
I am a non-denominational, independent, Christian, who was confused by the whole issue of religion until an event happened in my life that convinced me of the existence, and,deity, of God. The kind, and dedication, to religion practiced by my parents is unclear in one case, and unknown in the other.
Growing up in Manhattan, I can understand your confusion about life in general. It is hardly a normal place, and I have been there many more times than I like to count. |
