Is this Mucho Maas? - Business Week on Qualcomm

Ma(nuel)As(ensio)

From Page 126E6 of BusinessWeek dated July1, 2002.

Short Seller Manuel Asensio, known for his vociferous, sometimes litigation producing reseach reports, also "likes" (in the strictly negative sense) San Diego-based Qualcomm, which sells wireless hardware and systems. Asensio believes that the company, with its price-earnings ratio of 33, is grossly overvalued, even though its shares are down almost 40 percent so far this year. "It's one of the last remaining irrationally exuberant stocks in the market" he says. Asensio figures that Qualcomm, now trading at about $30, will fall to well below its 52-week low of $25.
