Too many wanna-be contrarian folks these days imo. Hence nothing lasts for very long these days (selloffs and rallies especially) except the overall trend to the downside (which follows general business momentum). Even the magazine-cover 'contrarian' indicator is getting to be old stuff and common knowledge. Remember folks in April 2001 claiming the bottom was in because of a few magazine cover stories then? Hey, if it was that simple, we'd not be posting here and still dealing with the markets, trying to make sense out of it. Day in and day out.
