Real Madrid aims at Ronaldihno Gaucho

29/06/2002. The Brazilian mid-fielder Ronaldihno Gaucho may become the next great transfer for Real Madrid. The president of the Spansih Club, Florentino Perez acknowledged publicly to be interested in the player who belongs to Paris's Saint Germaine.

The "merengues" (nickname for Real Madrid), have not executed any contractual moves that coach Vicente Del Bosque could. In spite of the financial situation not being the most favorable, Pérez asserted that it is important to buy "quality" rather than to buy "quantity"

Before the beginning of last season, for example, the club "only" bought Zinedine Zidane for 60 million Euros. Ronaldihno would cost around 38 million Euros to the Real's coffers, according to the press.

Real Madrid has good references about the player. Florencio praised his performance during the world cup: he scored a "golazo" against England. When he was expelled, the show was finished said the article.

Ronaldihno most likely would have also been given very good references to the Spanish club by hs teamate Roberto Carlos
