Taiwan's VIA Technologies June Sales Down 24% At NT$1.53 Billion TAIPEI -(Dow Jones)- VIA Technologies Inc. (Q.VIA), a chipset and microprocessor supplier, said on Monday sales fell 24% in June to NT$1.53 billion from NT$2.02 billion a year previously. Month-on-month, sales were down 10.6%. VIA, which has seen its business affected by an ongoing legal tussle with chip giant Intel Corp. (NasdaqNM: INTC - News) , said customers continued to digest inventories during June, while the downstream market showed no signs of recovery. Accumulated sales for the first six months of the year totaled NT$12.63 billion, down 31% from NT$18.31 billion during the same period in 2001. Most listed companies are required to disclose their June sales figures by July 10 .
