• For all his many faults and hesitations, Arafat is a moderate not a 'terrorist'. The men who send the suicide bombers on their missions are his political enemies. They have no time for his moderate policies because they believe Israel will yield only to force. Exactly. It is quite an indictment of the American media and intellectual community that they accept at face value the "Arafat = terrorism" equation promoted by the Israeli government. Especially given Sharon's rich history of terrorism. Tom
