That's interesting, hopefully less bulky generations are on the way. I would think that the battery would be a primary limitation, but I don't have any direct knowledge. Today's WSJ had an article on a wind-up radio, powered for about 45 minutes by 30 seconds of mechanical pumping, details not given. In a hearing aid that would be 30 seconds of flipping your ear back and forth with your finger. -g- Or maybe propeller-head/wind (system) powered.

Back on the thread topic, does anyone know if the reported system resets on the mars mission involve the WIND software? The theory is that too many
simultaneous activities are causing the problem.
