I do not buy it.
Before the Kingdom of Isra-El and the Kingdom of Judah, there was Canaan.
Isra-El was destroyed for sinfulness and non-observance. Blame G-d!
The Palestinians do not need a religious reason to claim the land they were a majority culture on. When the Mandate was dissolved the European terrorist, aka Zionists, came and interfered with the process of turning the land back to the inhabitants there at the time
and setting up a government. That government should have been a government that represented all the inhabitants there, Jewish, Christian, and Moslem.
What the UN did, with behind the scenes pressures for the West, was to vote a partition and allow foreigners to move in and take over, dominating the land, as a colonial, welfare "State".
