That's inaccurate. He was appointed in a judicial coup d'etat. Gore then graciously conceded, so it's a moot point.

However it would be useful to the thread to point out that Bush got "elected" with 48% of the popular vote, while the man he tried to eliminate, Hugo Chavez of Venezuela was elected with a landslide of 60% of the popular vote.

I relish the irony of Ari Fleisher spinning the Chavez flap by saying that just because a man wins by a large majority, that doesn't necessarily make him legitimate. Now that is taking Democracy into a whole new dimension. <gg>

I realize no such thing. I do realize that fascists have always labelled the loyal opposition as terrorists. This is the lie they use to propagandize the weak of mind. Speaking of which, you wouldn't mind being a bit less demogogic, would you? As a Gandhin/MLK-type non-violence advocate I find your characterization of my positions as some form of terrorism to be highly distasteful, dishonest and devious, not to mention silly.
