Vishay Intertechnology Releases New Chip Resistor, RF Transistors, and Infrared Receiver Module biz.yahoo.com MALVERN, Pa., July 1 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. (NYSE: VSH) has released a new thick film chip resistor, new silicon NPN planar RF transistors, and a new surface-mount infrared receiver module.
The new Vishay CRCW0201 thick film rectangular chip resistor is designed with the industry's smallest footprint to enable downsizing in applications where board space is critical. Packaged in an industry standard 0201 case measuring just 0.024 in. (0.6 mm) by 0.012 in. (0.3 mm) and with a height profile of just 0.009 in. (0.23 mm), the new CRCW0201 chip resistor is well suited for compact end products including memory modules, cell phones, PCMCIA cards, hearing aids, sensors, frequency control devices, and notebook computers. The CRCW0201 features a power rating of 50 mW, a maximum working voltage of 30 V, and a standard TCR value of plus/minus 200 ppm/degrees C. The new resistor chip offers a broad resistance range from 10 ohms to 1 megohm, including E24-range values, and a tolerance of plus/minus 5%. It meets specifications including CECC40000 / 40400 / EN 140 400 / IEC 60115 - 1, EIA 575, and MIL-PRF-55342.
The new Vishay Semiconductors, TSDF2005W and TSDF2020W bipolar RF transistors, have a 25-GHz transition frequency and excellent dynamic performance. The new silicon NPN planar RF transistors are designed to serve as RF front-ends for analog and digital wireless communication systems up to 3 GHz, including cordless phones, pagers, and wireless network equipment, as well as TV and satellite tuners, GPS systems, and high-frequency oscillators up to 12 GHz. The TSDF2005W and TSDF2020W feature low noise figures of 1.2 dB and 1.1 dB and very high power gain values of 21 dB and 20 dB, respectively, providing enhanced dynamic performance in applications with up to 3 GHz operating frequencies. Both devices also feature low feedback capacitance.
The new Vishay Semiconductors TSOP5700 surface-mount infrared receiver module offers the industry's best transmission distance -- up to 15 m (49 ft). Designed for long distance and high data-rate operation in infrared remote control and IR data transmission applications, the TSOP5700 is intended for use in multimedia systems including interactive TV, set-top boxes, game controllers, and wireless keyboards, as well as light curtains and medical equipment. It combines a photo detector and preamplifier in a single package with a compact footprint of 7.2 mm by 5.3 mm. With a slim 4-mm height profile, the device is suitable for both top- and side-view assembly on a printed circuit board, allowing manufacturers to cut component costs by using the same module in a variety of space-saving designs. |
