Joan, I hate that. When yields go up, they're yours. When things start to get good, they call them home. That's why I've always liked Treasuries. No calls, or, if they have calls, way out there calls. I can then sell my own calls for a higher fee and manage them at my beck and, excuse the expression, call. <g>
I'm still waiting for the first call on my CEF preferreds. Gabelli has been putting out new issues, so he could be the first. The only positive is that they still have to pay just about the same as they did on the older preferreds, so there may be nothing in it for them.
