SOROS: I’ve been thinking along the same lines regarding North American versus Russia and elsewhere for the gold stocks and there is another angle to this. With the dollar being as precarious as it is though, what is the possibility that the US government decides to confiscate all the privately held gold again to support backing for a new dollar and insists that U.S. mines are only able to sell at a new fixed rate to the government. I have therefore decided that it is not such a bad idea to spread my risk over those with Russian and South African exposure also, although only those with listings on the US markets. Admittedly they have their own risks, which are already factored into the price to a certain extent.

Schwab don’t have access to the Canadian markets via StreetSmart Pro unfortunately.

The field is very small if one only considers N. American unhedged or lightly hedged companies.

Does anyone have a good site for research on the Canadian Miners by the way, that they could recommend?

Frank: Your welcome.
