we keep hearing this over and over regarding Tyco and CIT.... how Tyco management (the idiots that they are) bought CIT for $11 billion and now they are going to sell it for $5 billion.... what people are NOT saying though, is that Tyco bought CIT with Tyco stock which at the time was about $57 per share in addition ot cash...Tyco bought CIT for $2.5 billion in cash plus $7.5 billion in stock... Company did fine, stock holders got hit. Picked up 4.5 billion cash if pricing holds. V
