Do you seriously think that drilling in the US would end dependence on foreign oil....if so, you've been listening to Rush Limbaugh. For your info, oil production in the USA reached its peak about 1971 and has been coming down ever since. The message?.....we, in the continental USA, are running out of oil and will be increasingly dependent on foreign oil. Everyone knows this including the Bushies. Why do think Bush is so intent on invading Iraq? They're no threat militarily but they have large oil reserves...
