Scott, first, I don't think most execs are corrupt the way another one of your articles eluded. Second, the CEO/Pres types are removed from the number crunching. The problem is the next tier down that feeds incorrect data up the chain of command.

Some CEO/Pres I deal with are concerned about their internal controls and whether they are set up properly to assure integrity of numbers. So, they are reviewing internal procedures.

For example, I saw this work properly about 25 years ago back in my corporate America days. We set up an Internal Audit Section. Didn't report to the CEO/Pres. Sort of independent in a chain of command. They could report to me or a Board committee. They did what they were suppose to do and found questionable use of funds by the CEO. He was gone soon thereafter.
