During this time, I worked for TMT, a company that sold analog and mixed signal testers. CMOS was a competitor that bought us in 2000 and EGLS sold wafer probers we linked to for wafer test. A co-worker, a Berkeley EE, liked CMOS better than EGLS which was one of my 8 semi-equip holdings. I had an opportunity to make an exchange when both were 10, but I didn't because EGLS had a better balance sheet. If I remember correctly, EGLS went from 10 to 36 while CMOS went from 10 to 140. Again, the lesson is buy the business, not the valuation or balance sheet.
