Where is your documentation for " Some of those minority groups are trying to prevent the worship of others, and that just will not do." If one person is doing so then that person should be brought to court.
As far as minority religions trying to run the show, once again documentation please. And using the radical Christian right as exemplified by John Ashcroft as an example is not acceptable.
On the other hand if the majority imposes its religious ideas (no matter how trivial these ideas may be) on a minority by law then that law is in violation of the first amendment. Does this mean "In God We Trust" on US dollars is wrong. well I would say yes, noting at the same time that these words were not to be found on early dollar bills. That the courts have chosen not to deal with this is not because the position is wrong but because the position is not considered to be important today.
