No, Christmas and Thanksgiving are not first amendment violations. Remember " Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness".
Anyone who complains about Christmas or Thanksgiving has got to be a nut case. See, you found my limits of tolerance.

On the other hand Columbus day is a violation of something (common sense)because Columbus was predated by the Vikings and the Native Americans.
For me the D of I has religious overtones because it endows the people with the right to overthrow their legitimate government. So I would have a conflict with it if the D of I were to be made into US law. For me the D of I is the primary document in any discussion of oppressive governments. If there was a Church of the D of I I would join.
