Ted, Re: why did the Swiss have to ask three times for the Russian plane to descend? According to the latest news it might have been the air traffic controller's fault. Apparently he knew for over 10 minutes that the two planes were on a collision course but didn't do anything until 50 seconds before they crashed. Andreas
