The recently launched PowerStruXure(TM) continued to gain recognition after just a few months of availability. In the May issue, Today's Facility Manager named PowerStruXure "Product of the Month." The magazine highlighted some of the many benefits of this innovative, new approach to data center power infrastructure. Specifically, it said: "This architecture for powering and protecting IT hardware lets users expand or reconfigure their data centers quickly and cheaply, meeting IT needs and budget requirements at the same time."

In France, DEcision Micro & REseaux presented APC with its "Editor's Choice" for the Smart-UPS 3000RMXLI3U, a rack-mounted, extended run 3 kVA uninterruptible power supply (UPS) which occupies just three U of rack space. The unit was recommended because of its "high power rating, its global good quality, and its excellent price/runtime performance ratio." Additionally, APC took the top spot in the review in both the management and runtime categories.
In Spain, the Smart-UPS 1000 was also named "Editor's Choice," this time by PC Actual magazine. The Smart-UPS line also found praise in Russia where PC Magazine gave APC's Smart-UPS On-Line 1000 a 5 star rating. The publication found the Smart-UPS the "most attractive device in this roundup." Additionally, it also highlighted APC's power management software: "We found the bundled PowerChute® software ... to be the most powerful, and it supports the greatest number of platforms among the bundled software packages reviewed."
In the US, PlantServices magazine also recognized APC's power management offerings presenting APC's Enterprise Manager(TM) (formerly PowerChute Inventory Manager) with a "Bronze Award" in its 2001 Product of the Year campaign.
For the desktop user, APC's solutions remain at the top of many lists. APC's Back-UPS® CS line has been well received by the media in Europe. In the UK, PC Pro named the Back-UPS CS 500 a "Recommended" solution. Additionally, in the desktop PC power protection family, CHIP magazine in the Czech Republic presented APC's CyberFort with its "CHIP Tip" award. Claiming the "APC CyberFort is the best from the whole spectrum of UPS we reviewed."
In Russia, PL Computers named APC's Back-UPS AVR its "Editor's Choice" and presented APC's SurgeArrest® with a "Technical Perfection" designation. Finally, in the US, Maximum PC recognized APC's Back-UPS VS 500.
Additional company recognition came in South Africa, where APC was named "Best of Breed" in the UPS Category of ComputerWeek Strategist magazine survey. APC beat the competition by garnering 45 percent of the total nominations cast in this year's assessment.
Furthermore, in Russia, Intelligent Enterprise Research named APC as the best in the back up and redundancy systems category. In the US, Network World's annual "Network World 200" ranks the biggest companies in networking and APC came in at number 58.
