every investor has a different reaction to a whomping like this.

my mind set at a time like this? I get ticked that the guys/gals who have driven good stocks this far south are going to profit more than me. I'll make my share, but I wish that someone else would get theirs.

In summer '98, there was talk that the sector wouldn't correct until the last bull threw in the towel. There were only about 10 bulls left when the sector turned.

So, here's a survey. Please vote:

Since there seems to be at least 100 bulls left now,

A. investors have refined their taste -- for the better, not masochism -- in four years, or

B. it's a fricking indicator, one for one thus far.

Now...... with exception of 1Q 2000, you've seen me as a rampant sector bull. Smart investors will consider the possibility that my mind set, described above, is a result of insanity.

But.......
