Yes...Tippet and I had this discussion by PM this morning. Ultimately, the PPT will fail when their executing banksters refuse to step in and take any more punishment. In When Genius Failed, Roger Lowenstein's excellent book on the LTCM debacle, it was clear that the banks came very close to NOT agreeing to the bail out...and in that case the benefits (to themselves, anyway) were much more evident than trying to prop up this falling market.
