Can't answer that. It's a shame, if so.

Medicines, with rare exception, are poisons. FDA does and -- imo -- has done a great job of walking the line of innovation and public good. However, FDA has to stay in the real world and ahead on the learning curve, working together with industry.

Societies are becoming more crowded. Transportation by plane assures that infectious dangers can move at human will. Our population is aging.

The last thing that we need is a gun shy or political FDA. I'm a big believer that FDA has done a good job in recent years. I agree with Peter, however. It will be interesting to see FDA/Corixa. And I can't wait to see if Biogen's late rush to a strong business plan starts to unfold, if a new biological targeted at CD2 can get out there.
