Yeah, but we're talking about FINANCIAL scandals now. Throwing the 'widows and orphans' into the street. Vaporizing pension accounts while ex-CEOs skip out to Florida or Texas where their property assets are untouchable. You know: screwing the investing and working public. Not talking about juicy sex scandals, or 'family values' scandals (such as telling your faithful wife while she's hospitalized for cancer that you're going to divorce her). American politicians always express public remorse for diddling around (if caught), but rarely - if ever - for the SERIOUS crimes. I repeat: Don't hold your breathe, my friend, waiting on Cheney to resign. I'm afraid personal shame and a sense of national responsibility only exist in the Orient these days..
